What's Happening! 

We are moving to a new facility and a new website - both are under construction! www.vlra.bravehost.com

 

Victory Lane Riding Academy, LLC will host it's Christmas Party Saturday December 15th @ 2:00! Please join us for the Christmas Celebration!

The new facility is under construction! The foundation has been laid and the barn is scheduled to go up September 13th.

What a way to end the 2008 Tri County Season! Great job to everyone who participated. Congrats to Mary Rome Daniel in her fist horse show on Macs Night Hawk - a first, four seconds and a third! Congrats to Emily on her big win in equitation and good ribbons in her other tough classes. Congrats to Jamie Hogan on her top ribbons in 13 and under and 10 and under as well as equitation! Megan Batten had a great show as well to top ribbons in her academy classes. A huge thumbs up to Brittany Bobbit who showed Callowy's Carillion to three great rides - way to go on his first horse show Britt! Big congrats to Rhonda Armstrong in her classes and Hunter Hack! Yeah to Stacey Winner  on her ribbons especially in starter rider walk and trot 2nd places!

We have had so many great ribbons at the last two shows I haven't had time to list them all. Congrats to Megan Batten on her first place in Academy at Williamston and Jamie Hogan took almost all 2nd place in tough classes on PF Plated Chrome. She also took 1st in 13 and under at the Tri County show on her mount M,acs Night Hawk. Emily Pittman took 1st again in walk trot equitation!! Alexa Cavas has had some great rides to top ribbons on PF Plated Chrome. We'll be in full force with a big show string at the last Tri County Show Sept 8th and in Williamston for the championships Sept. 28 - 30th!! Come cheer on our riding academy!

VLRA had a great double pointed Tri-County Show! WOW! Congrats to all my blue ribbon winners: Emily Pittman on Pay Dirt's Gold, Rhonda Armstrong on Smoke and Brooks Ruth, Megan Batten on My Hatteras, Caroline Silverthorne on RGR Goldfinger, Brittney Bobbit on Macs Night Hawk and Stacey Winner on PF Plated Chrome. Congrats to Melissa Winner and Mason and Dylan Neal for top ribbons in their classes as well! What a great show - so proud of everyone!

VLRA wishes to congratulate Caroline Silverthorne and parents on their purchase of RGR Goldfinger! Watch 10 and under riders for this new duo! AKA "Golden" and Caroline are a great new team!

We've had two more Tri - County shows this season and many great rides and ribbons. Congrats to Megan Batten on her rides on her new mount My Hatteras in Academy and CP classes. She also showed Macs Night Hawk to good ribbons aslo. Congrats to Lauren Turner on her move to Academy Classes and great ribbons on PF Plated Chrome. Congrats to Mary Claire Bass on her great rides in Academy and Equitation on both Macs Night Hawk and PF Plated Chrome. Jamie Hogan has done an outstanding job on her horse Macs Night Hawk in the 13 and 10 and under classes at these shows. Emily Pittmas had great rides on her mount, Pay Dirt's Gold in 13 and 10 and under as well. Great rides for Caroline Silverthorne on PF Plated Chrome in 10 and under and academy classes with top ribbons!Congrats to Stacy Winner on her great rides in walk and trot interim classes and top ribbons on her horse PF Plated Chrome.

Smithfield Tri - County was the first show of the season held April 14. What a great show. Congratulations to Alexa Cavas with 4 blues on Macs Night Hawk and a 2nd on PF Plated Chrome. Congratulations to Lauren Turner in her first show with a blue ribbon and a red in Walk  only and Walk and Trot Interim class and Stacey Winner with top ribbons on Pf Plated Chrome also. Caroline Silverthorne had 3 seconds on Pf Plated Chrome in Academy and a nice second on Macs Night Hawk for equitation pattern. Rhonda Armstrong made a good showing on Smoke and Brooks Ruth in Showmanship and in the hunter classes this show. She also had to catch ride PF Plated Chrome in 13 and under saddle seat and won! Emily Pittman started off this year moving out of Academy classes and took some great ribbons on Pay Dirt's Gold. Special thanks to both Brittanys for all their help and riding horses for us in the Open classes.

Congratulations to the Batten Family on the purchase of My Hatteras for their daughter Megan. Look for this new duo at the upcoming shows!

On December 17th, the annual VLRA Christmas party was held at the Neal's new residence. Everyone had a great time. The riders all exchanged names and gifts while the adults enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in December eating and visiting with one another.  

December 10th was a special day for the Tri County Riders at VLRA. Congrats to Stacey Winner for winning the leadline division champion!!!! Emily Pittman was crowned 1st in walk and trot equitation overall champion!!! Jamie Hogan took top honors in Academy and 10 and under! Rhonda Armstrong took top honors in every division except gaming!!! We encourage all the academy riders to sign up for the membership into the Tri County Awards Program for the 2007 season - see Holly for details!

Congratulations to Caroline Silverthorne for winning the ECOSC Academy Championship!!!! Congrats to Melissa and Stacey Winner on their top ribbons in their divisions! Congrats to Rhonda Armstrong for 7th out of 21 in the saddletype hunter division! Thanks to Karen Vick for the opportunity to show Stone's Day Break in saddletype hunter adult to 5th out of 19! Congrats to Anne Bozelle for showing her newly aquired Saddlebred mare Annabelle in her first halter classes after being adopted! Many thanks to everyone who atteneded and cheered everyone on!

What a way to end the Tri - County Show season. VLRA was in full force and what a blast we had! Congrats to Emily Pittman on Pay Dirt's Gold for winning yet another 2 blues in Saddle Seat Equitation walk and trot, Jamie Hogan for 2 seconds! Jamie and Mac's Night Hawk also won the Beginner Rider class and top ribbons in other classes! Congrats to Rhonda Armstorng on her first schooling show with Zip Up Da Sun in hunter to two good ribbons. Special thanks to Brittany Bobbitt on her top rides on Macs Night Hawk & PF Chrome Plated. Happy 16th Birthday Brittany! Stacey Winner took 2 seconds and thirds in Leadline and Starter Rider on her horse CF Chrome Plated! Thanks Stacey for sharing Lacey! Great job girls!

Another great show for VLRA at the Double Pointed Tri - County Show on Aug. 26. I lost count at all the ribbons! Emily Pittman won the equitation walk and trot class, Rhonda came in 2nd, Jamie Hogan in third and Caroline Silverthorne is 4th!! Caroline won a class! Jamie Hogan on Macs Night Hawk took several 2nd places as well as Rhonda Armstrong on Smoke and Brooks Ruth took several 2nd places and all the girls were in the top ribbons. Brittany Bobbitt showed pay Dirts Gold for Emily in the 14 - 17 division with a good ribbon as well as PF Chrome Plated in Sadddle seat open with a a good ribbon! Stacey Winner owner of PF Chrome Plated finished up the day with 1 blue ribbon and 3 reds in the walk only starter rider class and leadline class!

Congratulations to Rhonda Armstrong and mom Sheree on their new mount Zip Up Da Sun. Look out for the new team in the Hunter divisions and Western divisions!

What a horse show we had in Williamston at the Freedom Classic! Wow 7 blues and 6 reds! Congrats on wins to Melissa Winner and PF Chrome Plated in Western Saddle Type 18 and over in a nice class of contenders. Also to Stacey Winner on PF Chrome Plated and Caroline Silvethorne on Smoke & Brooks Ruth in Leadline and Walk Only with wins. Caroline also showed PF Chrome Plated to a big 2nd in Walk and Trot Interim class! Jamie Hogan had an outstanding show on PF Chrome Plated winning both the 10 and Under class and Academy Equitation and her biggest accomplishment in Novice rider a 2nd against adults! She also took another 3rd and 6th in big classes in both 17 and under and Academy! Rhonda Armstrong had outstanding Halter classes 2nd and 3rd with her horse Smoke and Brooks Ruth as well as a 2nd in Morgan Saddleseat and a 7th in a tough class of 15 horses in huntseat saddle type. She had great rides on Starmaker's Saturday Night with several 2nds and top ribbons in touch classes. And a huge congrats to showing him in his first ever huntseat canter class with a good ribbon!! Emily Pittman took her horse Pay Dirt's Gold and Holly showed her to a 2nd place in Novice Horse and Emily showed her in Halter with a 5th place! She also did a great job showing PF Plated Chrome in Halter with a 6th place! It was a great show and we had alot of fun even though the heat was horrible! Big thanks to all the customers and Anne Bozelle for all the hard work!

On June 24th we attended the Halifax Tri - County Show with 7 riders and 4 horses! It was alot of fun. Congratulations to Rhonda Armstrong and Starmaker's Saturday Night for a huge win in Equitation and other top ribbons. Congratulations to Emily Pittman and Pay Dirt's Gold with top ribbons in her academy classes as well as Alexa Cavas in her first show with PF Chrome Plated and owner Stacey Winner and mom Melissa for top ribbons in both Leadline and Western! Congrats to Caroline Silverthorne for her win in Starter Rider aboard Macs Night Hawk. A huge thanks to Brittany Bobbit for showing both Macs Night Hawk and PF Chrome Plated in Saddle Seat classes and a great 2nd place in Equitation! Many thanks to Anne Bozelle for all her hard work and keeping me sane with so many first time show riders!!!

On June 9th and 10th we attended the Martin Festival Open Show in Williamston. Overall it was a good show - we learned alot and had fun. It rained but what is a Williamston show with out a thunderstorm! Congrats to Rhonda Armstrong for showing Starmaker's Saturday Night in several classes with top ribbons and a great equitation class! First time cantering with him and a great show! She also showed her horse Smoke & Brooks Ruth to some good ribbons also! Emily Pittman took her horse Pay Dirt's Gold and took two 2nd place ribbons in both academy and halter! Holly showed her in two classes as well as it was aka" Sunshine's"  first time in an indoor arena. Emily did great!

On June 4th we attended the Hoof Beats 4H club Tri - County show and what a great show! Congrats to Emily Pittman on her win in walk and trot equitation with Pay Dirt's Gold at their first show together. They also took several 2nd place ribbons as well. Congrats to Rhonda Armstrong with her ribbons with Smoke & Brooks Ruth and PF Chrome Plated in the pony class! Stacey Winner took top ribbons in both Leadline and Walk only classes aboard her horse PF Chrome Plated and mom Melissa won the Saddle Type Western class with her also!

On April 29th we attended the first Tri - County Horse Show of the season held by Lucky Spurs 4H Club in Nashville at the W. J. Stables. Congratulations to Jamie Hogan for winning the walk and trot equitation class with her pattern on Macs Night Hawk. Cogratulations to Rhonda Armstrong for her 2nd place in that class and top ribbons in tough classes on PF Chrome Plated. Rhonda showed "Lacey" for the Winners in Saddle Seat and had several 2nds and 3rds in big classes against big saddlebreds on the little arab!!! Congrats to Stacie Winner for her first place in Leadline out of 5 and 3rd in her walk only class aboard her horse PF Chrome Plated!

What a great show! The John Deere Classic was a huge success! Congrats to Brittney Bobbitt on her win with PF Chrome Plated in the Morgan / Arab saddleseat class. Rhonda Armstrong and Smoke & Brooks Ruth took a Reserve. Stacey Winner and PF Chrome Plated , her horse, took two 1st in Leadline and walk only classes. What a great job Stacey & Lacey! Rhonda and Smoke & Brooks Ruth took 1st in Halter and what a beautiful performance. She also took a third in a very tough Saddleseat Halter class on Saturday am. They also took a 7th in hunt seat saddle type horses class.  Both Rhonda and Brittney showed Starmaker's Saturday Night. Both girls took a 4th and 6th in their two very large classes they debuted in. They both did great in their ASB classes and Equitation and Country Pleasure!!! Melissa Winner showed PF Chrom Plated her daughter's horse in Saddleseat Halter and took 4th in a tough class. Not bad for a first time show. Melissa also took a fourth in Western Saddle Type on CF Chrome Plated  - it was a great first time show! Paula Jo Pridgen showed her horse Emory's Starman for the last time and did very well after having over a year off while she was at college. Many thanks to Anne Bozelle for that accomplishment. Congrats to Paula Jo and Anne on the sale of Emory's Starman! Pictures coming soon!!!!!

A BIG GET WELL SOON to Emily Pittman who fell on her vaccation and broke her arm. Emily was planning on showing PF Chrome Plated for the Winners at the John Deere Classic and her new horse Sundshine at the 1 st Tri - County show but her plans are on hold while she recovers. Hurry up and get well Emily - we're all sorry about your accident but Mrs. Holly loves your Carolina blue cast!

VLRA is headed to the John Deere Classic in Williamston on April 22 & 23. We lots of new teams showing! Saturday after the huntseat division we will have a small party! Come on out and enjoy the fun.

ECOSC Shows (Williamston) Have been posted on the show schedule. We will attend all the shows - sign up will be a month in advance. We have new show curtains to hang this year!! Fees are listed on the fees page for all shows. Hauling will be billed seperately.

Tri - County dates have been posted on the show schedule. Everyone planning on going to any Tri- County Show needs to get the blue form from Holly to register for points. The fee is $10 and made payable to Tri-County Horse Club. I'll mail all forms to Nanette. We've added a few new walk and trot classes as well as a walk and trot equitation class. All Tri County Shows will begin at 9:30 this year and rain dates at the same time on the following Sunday.

Congratulations to Sheree Armstrong on the purchase of Dreamer, a beautiful Spotted Saddle Horse.  

The Christmas party was alot of fun. Thanks to Christine for all her hosting efforts. The kids and adults had plenty to eat and enjoyed the fellowship! There is a picture of the gang on the Kimbar Stables page!

Victory Lane Riding Academy Christmas Party will be hosted with the KimBar Stables Christmas Party at Christine Pittman's home on December 14.  Kids need to see Holly at their next lesson to draw names for the gifts. Please remember not to put more than $10 into a gift.

Horse Day Camp - Oct 7th - was a rainey dreary day but we survived and had a ball! Great job to the girls who attened!

What a great show! Holly and Starmaker's Saturday Night took 1st in Saddleseat Equitation in a class of 16! Thanks Jessica for the opportunity to show Carter again. Rhonda and Belle took several great ribbons in some very large classes in both the saddleseat and huntseat divisions. Congradulations to Stacey Winner and mom Melissa and dad Chris on the purchase of PF Chrome Plated aka "Lacey"! Stacey and Lacey took a first in the leadline division! 

Heading to ECOSC SuunySide Show Sept 23- 25. It's the championship show! Come cheer on VLRA!

Congradulations to Emily Pittman on the purchase of Paydirt's Gold "Sunshine" a palamino Morab! Continuting her show division in Academy Saddle Seat and look for her 10 and under Hunter in 2006 also!

We had a great show! Congradulations to Jamie Hogan for a 1st place and Emily Pittman to a 2nd place in the tough academy class. Also a big thumbs up to Stacie Winner for a 2nd place in leadline! We took some other great ribbons too.

We had another wonderful show. Congradulations to Rhonda Armstrong and Smoke and Brooks Ruth for a blue ribbon ride in 10 and under hunt seat out of 14 horses! It was well deserved. Emily and CLass brought home some good ribbons as well. Pictures soming soon. Great job everyone!

Look out! Rhonda Armstrong and Belle will debute at the Martin Classic under the VLRA banner in the Morgan division in saddle seat and hunt seat. What a team!

Congradulations to Jamie Hogan for a blue ribbon ride in her first show on her new black horse! Emily made a nice debute in her academy class on Class! Both girls did great.

We are heading to Longbranch Tri-County on June 4th.

VLRA's first show is Tri-County at WJ Stables Nashville, NC April 30 - Unfortunately we were rained out.

Congratulations to Lilly and mom on the purchase of Leo's Little Man. Leo and Lilly will be under the direction of Lynn Whithead.

Congratulations to Emily Pittman on the Lease of LA CLass Mate! Class is an asset to the program. Thanks Chris Hamilton for making this possible! We hope Class enjoys his time here as Emily and him work to make a great team for academy 10 and under.

Congratulations to Jamie Hogan on the purchase of Macs Night Hawk! You all have come so far! We can't wait for your debut in academy 8 and under!
